About this case

When Steve entered my office for the first time, he was so what in his "changing years". And throughout the treatment this would not change a bit. He presented himself with an open bite, midface deficiency, and a  heavy lower third of the face. His upper jaw is small (right to left). His treatment took two years. He seemed not to border to much of his appearance. Start of treatment were the wisdom teeth removal and the SARPE (with ®smile distractor). Then the orthodontics. Finally the orthognatic surgery. He was initially not interested in the cervical liposuction, but I felt, even with losing weight, the area  would remain heavy. Afterwards, I realised the cervical liposuction and the positive change in his facial appearance triggered Steve to further loose weight. Soon after surgery he came an unbelievable handsome boy, confident, open, and happiness was all over his face. A most georgeous result. Also nice that the whole treatment process triggered his personaliy in such an overwhelming positive way. So fine and rewarding to see this as a surgeon.
